Thanks to the grant from The Ottawa Community Foundation and Singing Pebble Books SOG was able to purchase three books for discussion this winter.
In early 2024, thanks to our generous grant funding, SOG continued the efforts begun in 2023. The third horticultural therapy bags were delivered by Rita Moore in January. Thanks to our growers and our May, 2024 deliveries, gardeners on Gladstone Avenue started planting vegetables for the 2024 gardening season. We look forward to hearing about and seeing the beautiful beds they have created. We wish them gardening success and hope they enjoy the food they grow.
The gardeners on Somerset Street have had a hugely successful gardening season. They garden in raised self-watering tables and in buckets on the mezzanine of their centre town building.
