Senior Organic Gardeners has collaborated with the senior gardeners on Clementine Boulevard for some time. The gardeners have had great success with their seedlings from Northern Seeds and Slow Roots Farm generously funded by our numerous grant providers.
They held a harvest celebration on September 26, 2025 to recognize their efforts and they told us how much they enjoy gardening and how their raised bed gardens contribute to their physical and mental well being.
Even when they don’t feel like going out, they know they must get out and tend to their plants. Once they’re outside they feel much better. One of the gardeners graciously shared some of her thoughts and feelings about gardening and about her garden.
