Join Our Book Club
After we put our gardens to bed for the winter, we will meet online to discuss our book choice
SOG will provide a book to Book Club members and a volunteer will lead two online sessions about the book. Former selections were Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer and To Speak for the Trees by Diana Beresford-Kroeger. Book Club members thoroughly enjoyed the reading and the discussions. We read The Seed Underground: A Growing Revolution to Save Food by Janisse Ray at the end of 2023. We were equally inspired and informed by this book. Our next book in January, 2024 was The Sweetness of a Simple Life by Diana Beresford-Kroeger. In 2024 we also read Two Old Women by Velma Wallis, The New Farm by Brent Preston, and Inciting Joy by Ross Gay. Our Book Club members are grateful for the continued funding we have received. In 2025 Book Club members enjoyed reading A Kind Life by Carina Wohlleben , The Serviceberry by Robin Wall-Kimmerer, and The Salt Path by Raynor Winn. We look forward to the 2026 selections.
